Unless you can prove that it was done with deliberate malicious intent to harm or defame Sungjong and that it caused any harm it would be fairly difficult to claim libel. “inadvertent libel limits the damages to actual harm (such as loss of business) called “special damages.”
And as for the confession, perhaps it is the work of a troll. Personally I think it’s more a case of someone not checking and/or assuming the lack of translated articles meant that there were not any. Either way that is (unfortunately) not enough reason to take it down. Any controversy this created will be forgotten in a few days.
